SMS Terms & Conditions
Two separate SMS programs are described below. Promotional texts require your explicit opt-in and are separate from service texts. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
1. SMS Programs
The Spot Barbershop operates two text messaging programs:
The Spot Service Alerts — service-related messages including appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, and waitlist/queue updates.
The Spot Promos — promotional messages including special offers, discounts, event announcements, and shop updates.
These are distinct programs with separate opt-in requirements.
2. How to Opt In
Service Alerts: You opt in to service texts by providing your phone number when booking an appointment on our website or checking in at our kiosk. The opt-in notice is displayed at the point of phone number entry.
Promos: You opt in to promotional texts by explicitly checking the promotional consent checkbox ("Send me promos, discounts, and special offers by text") when booking or checking in. This checkbox is unchecked by default. You are not required to opt in to promotional messages to receive services.
3. Message Frequency
Service Alerts: Message frequency varies based on your activity. You may receive 1–3 messages per appointment or queue entry (e.g., confirmation, reminder, and status update).
Promos: Occasional — typically no more than 4 messages per month. We will not send promotional texts unless you have opted in.
4. How to Opt Out
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from that program
- Reply STOP ALL to unsubscribe from all programs
- Opting out of promotional texts does not affect service texts, and vice versa
- After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message

6. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to all messages sent and received. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan. We are not responsible for charges imposed by your carrier.
7. MMS
Some messages may be sent as MMS (multimedia messages) and include images or graphics. Standard MMS rates may apply.
8. No Purchase Required
You are not required to opt in to promotional text messages to book an appointment, check in as a walk-in customer, or receive services at The Spot Barbershop.
9. Eligibility
SMS programs are available to customers with U.S. mobile phone numbers. By opting in, you represent that you are the account holder for the number provided, or that you have permission from the account holder. You must be 13 years of age or older to opt in.
10. Carriers
Supported carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, and U.S. Cellular. Carrier support may vary. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Privacy
Phone numbers collected through these SMS programs are governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not share or sell your phone number to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
12. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date on this page will reflect when changes were last made. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance.
